A discussion on periodicals of the Arab Left and decolonization from the 1950’s–1980’s, with scholars Idriss Jebari, Zeina Maasri, Mezna Qato and Hana Morgenstern. In this round table we will discuss the critical role of Arab Left journals in research and teaching on progressive cultures and social movements of the MENA region. We will look at how Arab Left periodicals can be incorporated into teaching in classrooms and other educational settings, using various pedagogical approaches including digital teaching tools from the Revolutionary Papers website.

This conversation will be a Revolutionary Papers event, hosted jointly by UWC, Cambridge University and London School of Economics, co-sponsored by Archives of the Disappeared, CRASSH, Cambridge.
